Able to scan basic codes, and live data. Doesn't clear abs and srs light. Used on 06 xterra and 08 infiniti ex35, and 1998 240sx, very useful.

it works well especially when going into the specific 350Z systems, each one of which can have error codes. which can be viewed and cleared. main problem with the scanner is it is bloody slow. like minutes slow, not just seconds. a full system scan takes about 5 minutes. OBD2 is quick but anything in the Nissan specific area is slow. but waiting a few minutes to take care of error codes and diagnose problems is a small price to pay.

Works great, gives good access to my 370z, altima, and armada. I haven't tried every feature but love the diagnostic and live reading ability. Ability to export to graphs is nice and save the files to my computer.

This scanner is amazing. I have a 370Z and a Titan
Titan has evap issue. So playing around with scanner is giving me ideas how to fix slow fill up of fuel.

Scanner works good for pulling other items other than basic OBD2. However on my 2003 it is painfully slow. Takes up to two minutes to get into some of the modules. Threw a buddies snap on scan tool on the car and its 15-20 seconds into the same module. Was able to get my abs codes and clear the system. I used some to scan live data. But the live date response time is slow that its hard to catch what I was chasing. Wish it had a cam and crank sensor graph but so far I have not been able to find it in the system. Decent for the price but will get replaced later on with a better unit.

Love this tool! It has helped me clear multiple CEL due to my high flow cats tripping the O2 sensor. Also when I replaced my steering wheel and clock spring the airbag light came on and once again this thing came to rescue and saved me $175 at the dealership. It's paid for itself 3x over at this point. Get it!

In the past, I've successfully done the pedal-dance many times for the idle air volume relearn (cleaned TB's). But not sure why I couldn't get my throttle bodies to relearn this particular time. After 2 days of trying, I got so annoyed and tired of the pedal-dance. I bought the Z1 scan tool specifically for the Idle air volume relearn feature.
Once I got the scan tool. Got conditions correct (coolant temp etc), The scan tool did the idle relearn in 5 seconds. I'm not joking. The idle literally went from 1,900 rpm to 750 rpm in 5 seconds. disconnect the tool, done!!
Of course this scan tool does many other things. Scanning/deleting OBDII codes is probably the simplest thing it does....meaning you get so much more. So many control modules you have access to.
Would recommend to any Nissan/Infiniti owner, especially if you tinker a lot with your cars.

I got this tool for my 2011 G37X Sedan and a 2008 EX35. On the G37X this tool was able to look through all the cars modules, such as the BCM, IPDM ER, locks, switches, etc. Very impressive tool! The live data available for it was also very good. Many parameters to view such as engine load, RPM in specific gears, throttle position etc. On the 2008 EX35 it could only view airbags, the transmission, and the IPDM ER. It could not view the BCM nor other modules. Not sure if a software update will make more quick scan tests available for other chassis and older models. One thing I wished this tool had was backlit keys. Though this unit is simply a Foxwell NT510 (NT530) so it's whatever Foxwell comes up with.

Awesome tool, they don’t go into the detail of all this little thing can do but it has access to some of the Consult II tools and diagnostic features, after a major engine overhaul I was able to run through the full calibration that would typically require a tool ten times more expensive.

For the price, there is simply nothing better. It is a little slower than other high end scan tools; however that's a small price to pay for the ever expansive list of features it comes with. From being able to retard the timing for my nitrous to being able to relearn the idle air flow on the throttle bodies, this scanner can do just about everything a Nissan technician's OEM scan tool can do. Additionally, it works great for accessing the OBD2 functions on my Jeep! All around, this is a must have for any Nissan oriented gearhead. Would STRONGLY recommend to anyone.

I had a nice spin on T6 at RA this summer and suspected it was an ABS issue, but had no way to troubleshoot/diagnose it trackside to determine which sensor was faulty.
The following week Z1 released this scan tool and within 5minutes I knew exactly which sensor was bad in my car and an ABS relay fault on another Z.
I keep it in my truck now just in case. Thanks Z1!!!

The interface is good for the most part and does what it's supposed to do, with some limitations. The product is advertised as supporting all 10 OBD-II test modes, but in the fine print says that component test is not currently supported. I was not able to access data on O2 sensors in a G35. There was also a sticker on the screen when I first received the item saying to remove the film, but there was no protective film layer and the sticker was directly on the glass. The sticker was hard to remove and glue remained on the screen even after using glass cleaner and a cloth. I am hopeful that this is just an early production issue, and that a firmware update will be issued soon to include features that are advertised but not yet available.
