Product Description
The Z1 Brake Master Cylinder Brace is one of the most cost-effective brake upgrades you can buy for your Infiniti Q50 or Q60.
When pressing the brake pedal, the force applied by the driver is transferred through the pedal assembly and into the firewall. Although reinforced, the firewall can be easily manipulated reducing braking energy and increasing driver effort. Z1's Brake Master Cylinder Brace reduces this flex by securing the master cylinder with a 304 stainless steel bracket fastened to the driver-side strut tower. Load is then distributed across the strut tower and false firewall.
Adjustable feet are employed to allow precise adjustment of the brace while rubber-coated pads protect the painted surface from wear. Installation of the brace is simple and requires no special tools.

Installation was not nearly as difficult as I thought it would be, especially with big hands. It’s important to have the right tools, namely a flex-head ratcheting 10 mm combo wrench, and a magnetic wand.
After installation, the brake feel is greatly improved in daily driving; they don’t feel so vague upon initial depression and along the final 10 feet when coming to a stop. Under higher speed, the feel these provide make me more confident in braking closer to a turn and feeling for slip or vibration.
I’m not sure this needs to be such a pretty stainless steel piece. It sure made the price feel a little too high for something that hides behind the master cylinder and cowl. This is a good product, but $120 is too much to ask for this.

Another amazing product from Z1! Very well thought-out & engineered!
The install is a pain, even with skinny hands/fingers. But 110% worth it! .
Brake pedal feel is absolutely transformed! (With or without SS brake lines)

This is a must for Q owners! Makes a big difference with the flex issues with the firewall. However, be prepared for for a tight fit, in a hard to get to area. Make sure you have a flex head ratcheting wrench with a long (skinny) handle, a magnetic wand, and lots of patience.

Good quality part that really did make a difference with brake pedal feel and responsiveness. You do not realize the amount of flex in the master cylinder until you install this. During normal driving you almost have to readjust how you brake. Highly recommended!!!
