I am impressed on how solid these bushings are compared to the stock ones. Well worth doing the upgrade.

It took over 5 tons of pressure in a press to push this flat and it still popped back out of the last rib. Only buy if you’re willing to manipulate the product; I ended up cutting off the last 2 ribs for it to fit flush enough to mount back onto the shock strut. No fault of Z1 at all.

I struggled to install these for 20 minutes pressing them and each time they backed out. I decided to press them without the metal sleave and they slipped in like a charm. The bushing needs room for play when being pressed. Afterwards I pressed the sleeve in, and I was good to go. Super easy.

These are great, but the reason for the three stars is that it's very hard to insert the inner bushing into the outer bushing. If you end up do buying them, I'd recommend shaving down the humps on the inner bushing or you'll have a lot of fun trying to fit in the last two ridges into the outer bushing.

Service from Z1 was great as always. As supplied these suckers are too good for their homes. Dry, lubed, left in the press for a couple of calm down smokes, these suckers pop back out a rib. Used a resurfacing pad to take off material from the inner bush and it cooperated. Bushings haven't tried to squish out any after installation and I don't think this new design will pound out and split after 3 years like the old equal halves ES bushes did.

These bushings are VERY difficult to install. I called Z1 to see if I was missing something or doing something wrong... They informed me they are tough and I was not doing anything wrong. They typically use washers and a vice to pop them in. Z1 informed me that Energy Suspension changed to this design a few years back.
The issue is the inner bushing will not, seat into the outer bushing. You would put it in a press, it would look great, but when you pull the press back the bushings were still not together.
Ultimately, I trimmer the end of the inner bushing and cut down a few of the ribs. That was the only way I could get it in. The metal sleeve does not have as much surface area now so I do not know how much that will reduce the life of the bushings. When they go, I will just put some spherical bearings in there.
Z1 was awesome. I called them and were super knowledgeable and helpful. That is why the rating is neutral. Bushing would not go together without modification, but Z1 was great.
