Product Description
New, OEM Nissan Slave Cylinder for all Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 models equipped with the VQ35DE engine.
Located along the transmission's bell housing, the external slave cylinder found on the earlier 350Z and G35 models can fail after years of usage. Over time, the internal seals can fail causing the clutch pedal to loose pressure. A failure in the slave cylinder can result in a lost ability to engage the clutch, making gear changes nearly impossible.
Sold individually.
Z1 Motorsports highly recommends using fresh DOT 3 or higher Brake fluid from companies such as Motul (MOTUL RBF600) when replacing a Slave Cylinder.

Its OEM, as long as the quality is there I'm happy. You do have to reuse the two bolts that hold this to the transmission.

Slave cylinder went out on my '05 350z and had this OEM replacement from Z1 within a week or so. Gave it to mechanic along with the upgraded clutch line and boom, easy fix. Has been perfect ever since.

What a difference. I had a 13 year old original slave and it was causing the clutch pedal to stay down a couple inches when it got hot. I recommend replacing it all at once - the slave, the master and installing the S.S. insulated line. Also get the Motul Fluid. Also get some cheaper Prestone DOT 4 brake fluid from your local auto parts store. Before you replace anything, use the Prestone to totally flush the system. My original fluid looked terrible and it's important to get the old fluid out of the original metal line which is the only thing left after you replace the master, slave and original rubber lower line. You might want to put a small amount of new fluid in the slave cylinder thru the port with the slave piston extended to "prime" it.
