These High Flow Catalytic Converters are fully constructed of Stainless Steel. Using a 100 cpsi Stainless steel spiral wound core, they are the highest flowing bolt on converter available that is OBDII compliant. The Stainless Steel cores are high heat resistant and offer excellent flow characteristics.
Take advantage of freeing up your exhaust while not picking up the "Rasp" commonly associated with test pipes when used on the "HR" and "VHR" engine platforms.
Often the RTV sealing method or composite gasket for the 3 bolt flange from the manifold to the test pipe doesn't hold up over time due to extreme exhaust temperatures and can fail leading to irritating exhaust leaks and potential Check Engine Lights. To solve this potential problem Z1 has designed and produced our very own multilayer metal exhaust gasket for this application. This gasket is similar in construction to the manifold to turbo gaskets we have used for years on turbo applications. It has proven to be one of the strongest and most robust parts on any car we have used them on; these gaskets can be removed and reinstalled countless times without any problems. Now we include them in our kits, and make them available separately here.
Each order includes: on pair of High flow cats, one pair of Metal multilayer 2.5 inch 3 bolt gaskets, and one pair of composite 2.5 inch 2 bolt gaskets, and all necessary hardware.
We cannot guarantee that any of the different brands of high flow catalytic converters we sell will not cause a CEL (check engine light). From our experience it is not a problem on 90% of cars.
