The headlight ballast found on all HID equipped models is responsible for converting DC to AC current, and regulates current output to the HID bulb through the attached ignitor. Because these are mounted to the bottom of the headlamp assembly, they are susceptible to wear from water, foreign object damage, and stress from constant operation. When the ballasts or attached ignitors fail, the headlamps may operate dim, flicker, or fail to function at all. 

New OEM ballasts do not include replacement headlight o-rings. These will be reused from your existing ballasts or purchased new.
