These sensors monitor exhaust temperatures on your 3.0t, and are located just before the turbo outlet on both driver and passenger side turbos. EGT Sensor faliure is common on VR equipped Q's, often resulting in dramatic loss of power and CEL Illumination, showing codes P0549, P2083, and many others.
