When I was replacing the clutch I noticed that this had broken away from the transmission housing and was still held in place via the metal clip and therefore still allowed it to pivot as its supposed to. After I extracted the broken stud replaced it with this part which is still running good almost 10 years later and about 40k miles. I had a rattle indication that would start when the car was in neutral and in gear with the clutch in. With a load or the clutch out the rattle would stop. After replacement the rattle went away and has stayed away. Now 140K 2003 G35 Coupe 6 Spd.
