Product Description
Just because it's under the hood doesn't mean it can't look good! The Z1 Oil Filler Cap replaces the factory plastic oil cap on your Nissan or Infiniti with an attractive easy-grip cap manufactured from 6061 billet aluminum. Since every engine is different, getting logos indexed properly is a difficult task. To solve this problem, Z1 engineers designed a small coin that is placed inside the center of the cap. This coin can be rotated after installation allowing you to get the logo placement correct on any engine. Whether you're installing this on your 300ZX or Q60, you can be sure the logo will always face the right direction.
The Z1 Oil Cap is available in one of three vibrant colors: Tarmac Black, Race Red, or Victory Blue.

Great cap to enhance the look of your engine bay. The O ring that ships with the cap needs considerable improvement as the one I had failed in less than 2 years. Z1 sent a replacement ring which I really appreciated, but even the new ring was larger than it should be. I also find that the Z1 emblem which is supposed to be able to rotate is nearly impossible to move. I still like the look and feel of this cap, just needs a few improvements to make it perfect.

Great product. First off you can actually remove the cap when the engine is warm. The old plastic one was such a pain.
Second, it’s been two year since install and it doesn’t leak or sweat. Great job on the R&D Z1.

Quality is great and for the price it makes your engine bay look a million times better. This cap is also easier to remove when the vehicle is hot compared to the OEM cap.

The cap itself is nice quality, but you know the advertisement video where the guy throws an oil cap across the shop? yeah I think I got that one, it had some nicks and an oily finger smudge on the logo. I'll still use it on another car/not worth sending back...

Looks great fits great easy to install just remove the original cap and replace with the new . Don't over tighten once you've gotten to desired tightness align the Z1 emblem with your thumb so you can read it . 😎

Only reason non-5 star rating: the red color online is a bit misleading. Mine is more a faded 'off red' due to the aluminum, I assume. With my red z1 silicone hoses, couplers, etc. everywhere, it almost clashes. I'm picky though, not a huge diff. Prolly should've looked at more customer pics. If not for price I'd prolly go back and buy blue. Fit, finish, etc. is just fine.

So glad I grabbed one of these billet oil caps. I went with black to match the black Z1 silicone hose set on my G35. The monochrome look is nice but I almost went with one of the color options; they all look gooooood. The cap feels GREAT in my hand, unlike the disappointment of the stock plastic oil cap which was gouged from wrench/pliers removal. And the design of the logo to clock in any position is a well-thought detail. Highly recommend.

As advertised it’s slightly heavier then the stock plastic oil cap but the strength of the billeted aluminum is well worth it especially since we all know how hard the oil caps are to take off of the z, with this you won’t have to worry about any plastic shavings or hard to grab caps

I should have bought this sooner - direct replacement to the boring old stock 370Z oil cap. Not only improves aesthetics, but makes loosening and tightening a lot easier thanks to the multi-lobe design.
