These hood struts are really good. The best thing since cheese fries. 5-minute install in the dark saved me 300 bucks to get done at the "stealership" aka dealership.

Well these Z1 hood struts are extremely well made and super easy to install. I bought these prematurely, my OEM struts still work, but these were on sale and I figure my OEM struts will fail eventually being as they have 240,00kms on them. That said, like all the Z1 parts I have bought so far, these parts are bulletproof & I would highly recommend. The only thing that I am curious about is why hasn't Z1 made a version of these to replace the OEM trunk struts?

Used this to replace the worn out OEM struts on my hood. They are actually so strong that you really have to force the hood down to close it. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing but I would rather it be harder then easier to close so 100% recommend.

They're about half an inch shorter than my previous hood struts and the fittings faced opposite directions, rather than the same. Caused me to have to keep adjusting the height and socket directions to get them to seat just right. Still, a quality product, always feeling confident with Z1 parts.

Holds the weight of the hood and easy to put on. Only issue I had was the metal clip on one of mine were bent so instead of snapping in and trying to bend it back just breaks the clip. Making it pretty much useless at this point unless the old one clip can fit. Mine did not. The
