The new Z1 Motorsports 75mm Throttle Body Upgrade Kit for VQ35DE single throttle body engines is a simple bolt-on upgrade for naturally aspirated and forced induction applications. With 5mm larger throttle plate you can expect to see power increases carried throughout the engines RPM range while making the engine more responsive during acceleration. By re-clocking the throttle body to lower the harness connector we were able to improve under hood clearance when compared to other aftermarket throttle body kits. The included throttle body is a Genuine OEM Nissan Hitachi unit, promising the very same reliability and functionality as the original throttle body.

I was running another kit from a different company and the adaptor harness short out and left me stranded a few more times that I'll like to admit. Went for the Z1 kit since I've read good reviews on forums and Reddit. The quality of the kit is great, and no issues are present with the kit. Overall, I did notice a change in response from the throttle and it really woke the car up compared to the OEM throttle body.

The throtte body kit is fine but the following would have been good to know:
1. Rubs at the hood in combination with the plenum spacer. After "cutting" the edge of the throttle body at the top clearance is ok again.
2. For the maximum performance the oem plenum needs to be adjusted (or replaced) where it connects to the new throttle body. Else the throttle body is wider, but is then restricted again by the smaller opening of the plenum.

2004- 350Z. This Throttle Body fit my car perfectly. I needed the larger silicone elbow to fit to the new cold air intake from Z1 that was part of my install. This is my first performance upgrade on a car that started to track 2 seasons ago. This unit appears to have resolved my peddle position sensor / TB mis-match engine codes (P2135). I had swapped out the pedal position sensor which did not resolve the issues. Next step was TB replace. Very happy with the results. Throttle response is much better and noticeable HP pickup.

Shipped quickly, throttle body blade had finger prints and a slight scratch on it nothing too serious though.
Instructions could be better but they get the job done. You might want to get a set of 78-101mm clamps the OEM don’t reach far enough

I installed this item 11/08/2021 and it was very easy install. Must warn you, this item does not work with OEM air intake. Must get an upgrade air intake to your liking. I personally purchased the Stillen Z Tube and kept the OEM Air intake box and added a K&N air filter.

More like 4.5 stars. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re looking for pure performance than look no further. The gains were noticed immediately. Adds pep and robustness that the VQde was lacking. (Car is 20 years old) also fixed my rough idle/ ses light intermittent flashing. Throttle reset and idle reset were preformed as well. However the half a point I docked was merely cosmetic. The spacer is bland, the gaskets protrude slightly. The design just leaves much to be desired considering the premium price point. Switching to a torque performance spacer or something comparable with rubber o-rings as opposed to traditional gaskets for a cleaner aesthetic.

Great product. Install was easy and after resetting the throttle position and idle air it was running perfect. Build quality felt solid. After putting it on, the gas pedal felt more sensitive and the car pulled harder at high rpm. Pulls the same in the low and mid range. My only complaint is that the instructions were kind of vague with the bracket.
Tip for people running the z1 intake. When you’re installing the intake back on, just put on the rubber piece first. It has to stretch a bit more for this throttle body and it’s a lot easier when you just put on the rubber piece first. It’s still pretty hard though.

One of the last intake modifications I have added to my G. Not sure how much this actually helps since I haven't had the car on the dyno or tuned but I'm sure once I do having this will undoubtedly be better than the stock throttle body. Quality product, everything you need is in the kit. Z1 always helping me with my projects. A+

I’m a novice with quick you tube video and this very simple to install and the gains are noticeable. This upgrade enables the car to reach maximum speed in each gear, almost 7600 Rpm before shifting with no power decrease. I also installed the lower plenum by motordyne and cold air intake from injen this combination works amazingly. Returning customer for life, next upgrade will the clutch combo kit
