Z1 X-Cleats are a durable and compact alternative to factory plastic cargo hooks, providing you with the most convenient storage solution possible.
They were developed to provide a secure tie-down solution that can be installed in a static position in the rear cargo rail. Unlike the factory hooks that need to be removed and stored when not in use, their innovative design allows them to stay in place in the rail even when not in use, making them easily accessible whenever you need them. When installed, X-Cleats sit below the surface of the rail allowing the cargo mat to fit flush with the floor as intended. X-Cleats can be installed in 6 positions in the rail and bolt directly to the floor of your Xterra through the existing rail mounting holes, providing the most secure mounting position available.

The package was missing a bolt in one of the four cargo tie down pieces. There was a hole in the bag and it must’ve fallen out.

Very sturdy and as advertised, stays inside the utility track. Bungee cords were a bit messy to put in place (big hook I guess) but worked well.
A few things:
- I didn't realize this will be taking the spot of the existing screws holding the utility track in place. Good call, but I thought they are adjustable on their location...
- There are six screws overall, so you can replace them all (just need six cleats)
- The existing screws are very soft and strip easily - be careful when removing them
- Installation was easy once I understood I need to remove the track completely from its place
- I may paint them black in the future so they are almost invisible....
- May I suggest ask for a design that is adjustable instead of fix location? Makes everything more flexible (I kept the OEM tie downs anyway....but still I like this design more :-) )

Love the low profile option for cargo management. They are a little bit of a pain to install because you have to take out the whole rail and give them a little bit of a wack to slide them in the tight rail. Over all love them so far

These are awesome! Another product from Z1 that I didn't know I needed until I saw them. Way better than the oem ones. Love the flush mounting functionality. I'm not fumbling with lining up anchor points anymore.

First off, highly recommended. The price is very fair for a solid and well thought out product.
The hoop sits as high as possible in the channel giving plenty of room to get most straps in. One exception is a very oversized carabiner from PowerTye. It was easy to fit a loop through as well so if you have a very large hook or need to feed a strap through it shouldn’t be a problem. They are probably more solid than the welded nut they bolt into, but the whole thing feels very solid. They also sit flush in the rail which I appreciate.
Install couldn’t be easier. You take out the screws, lift the rail, slide in the cleats, then bolt them back on with the provided hardware. The stock screws are very soft, and very in there, so be careful and use a #3 Phillips head. The replacement bolts take a 5mm Allen head.
Again, highly recommended. Thank you Z1 for continuing to come out with awesome products for the X!

Exactly as designed and advertised. Gives solid sturdy tiedown points while leaving a flat load floor. It feels as if the tracks themselves are better attached to the truck body to keep a load under control in the event of an accident, and there's still room for the Nissan factory tie-downs if you still need them for something. Buy these; it's a no brainer.
