This custom produced metal fitting can be used on all 5 speed Z32 models to eliminate the clutch damper line that runs from where the firewall and frame rail intersect and up to the fender apron. After the larger diameter clutch damper line is removed, this specially made inverted flare fitting can be inserted in it's place into the junction block for the clutch hydraulic lines.
Benefits of eliminating the uneccessary clutch fluid damper line are :
- The clutch hydraulic system is quicker and easier to bleed. We have seen a few Z32 models that will not bleed properly at all with the damper line in place because of a design flaw in the line.
- Cleans up the engine bay, removing uneccessary cluter.
- Firmer, crisper clutch pedal.
- Elimnates the unneccessay line while maintaing the clean original look of existing stock clutch hydraulic plumbing, unlike using an aftermarket one piece line.
Z1 recommends taking the opportunity to eliminate the clutch damper line anytime the engine is out of the car.
