Z1 Performance Packages are carefully crafted vehicle-specific packages designed to elevate your Nissan Z's performance. These packages are intended to provide more than just an increase in horsepower, focussing on other areas like cooling, suspension, alignment, and more. The intent is to retain great street manners and reliability while offering a balanced and thrilling driving experience that can only come from a purpose-built car. This package was pieced together using decades of experience building and tuning Nissan sports cars with countless miles on the race track and the street.
The Level 3 Performance Package begins to reach the apex of performance, with power gains provided primarily by Z1's VRX70B Turbochargers. Cars with the Level 3 package will produce approximately 500hp on 93 octane fuel, breathing through stock catalytic converters. This is not, however, the limitation of this package. With additional fueling support, VRX70B turbo's are capable of supporting power levels in excess of 700hp, giving you the freedom to expand your horizons later if you choose. While the larger turbos were intended primarily for power, they also provide the secondary benefit of helping maintain cooler engine temperatures, as pre-turbine pressure is reduced.
All packages come standard with Z1's R-Pro Coilovers, adjustable suspension arms, 6-Piston Track Brake Kit, and a myriad of other modifications geared towards transforming your car into your car the ultimate driving machine. Purchase of this performance package is not for the faint of heart. Know that when buying the level 3 package, the end result is a car that is intended to elevate all of the senses, pushing the boundaries of driving excitement and precision. Level 3 Contents
As we mentioned above the Level 3 Package is much more involved than our Level 2 package, but the focus on improving power, response, handling, and driver confidence remains the same.
- Z1 Cold Air Intake Kit - An easy-to-install modification that improves airflow to the engine, resulting in an increase of power and torque throughout the power band. Customize this kit further by choosing between standard air boxes or carbon fiber air boxes.
- Z1 Exhaust System - A performance exhaust system is essential for producing good, consistent horsepower. Choose between two different exhaust styles based on the sound you like.
- Z1 Touring Exhaust (Optional) - An excellent option if you want to make power without making a lot of noise. This exhaust is perfect for daily drivers and track cars where regulations limit sound output.
- Z1 Single Exit Exhaust (Optional) - A great option for those wanting the most sound and the lowest weight. Available in right side and left side bumper exits.
- Z1 Premium Y-Pipe - With a cast merge collector and full stainless steel construction, Z1's Premium Y-Pipe provides the excellent performance gains and construction quality you have come to expect from Z1 products.
- Z1 VRX70B Turbochargers - These ball-bearing turbochargers feature a high-efficiency billet compressor wheel, advanced turbine blade design, and larger .70 A/R turbine housing, providing a significant increase in airflow and supporting in excess of 700 horsepower on cars with appropriate fuel systems and other modifications. The final power level of this package is solely dependent on your expectations
- Z1 Low-Pressure Fuel Pump - This is a drop-in upgrade for the in-tank low-pressure fuel pump, helping support higher levels of power.
- Z1 Performance Clutch Kit (Optional) - A complete clutch package that includes a high clamp pressure plate, lightweight standard clutch disc, and lightweight flywheel. This is needed to help support the increased torque produced by the larger turbos. This is automatically added if you select "Manual Transmission" in the product options.
- Z1 Sway Bar Set - Two-way adjustable sway bars help reduce body roll, making your car feel more firm and planted through corners. Includes billet sway bar brackets and urethane mount bushings.
- Z1 Adjustable Sway Bar End Links (Front / Rear) - Adjustable end links allow you to reindex the sway bar when lowering your car, and ensure the bar is set in a neutral position with no pre-load.
- Z1 R-Pro Coilovers - Z1's track-focused coilovers, produced by the suspension gurus at Feal. These coilovers come standard with Swift Springs, and are valved exclusively for use with softer compound performance tires. The R-Pro's offer comfort and performance, making them a great choice for high-performance street and track.
- Z1 Adjustable Suspension Arms - Correct your alignment when lowering or set your alignment to custom specs with fully adjustable suspension arms. Available in two versions; STREET uses standard bushings ends for comfort and compliance while RACE uses solid heim joints for the least flex and best feedback.
- Z1 Subframe Collars - These billet aluminum collars are installed in the rear subframe of your Z, maintaining subframe rigidity in relation to the chassis when under suspension load or drivetrain torque. This helps prevent wheel hop and makes the car more responsive and direct.
- Z1 Strut Tower Brace - A triangulated brace used to reduce chassis flex under torsional loads. This is available in aluminum and lightweight carbon fiber. Be aware, the aluminum version offers more strength than the carbon version, while the carbon fiber is significantly lighter.
- Z1 Heat Exchanger - An important upgrade for helping manage charge air temperatures and provide consistent, repeatable performance.
- Z1 Coolant Pump Upgrade - This package works with the performance heat exchanger to keep charge air temperatures lower for longer, especially under adverse conditions.
- Z1 Catch Can Kit - A catch can kit is added to catch oil and moisture from the PCV system and prevent it from being returned to the intake where it creates carbon build-up on intake valves. This is especially important on direct-injection engines like the VR30.
- Z1 Level 3 Performance Tune - A feature-rich ECU tune calibrated specifically for the modifications included in this package, ensuring optimal performance under any conditions. - Z1 Track Big Brake Kit - Going faster is fun, but that excitement has to come to a stop at some point, right? Z1's Track Big Brake Kit is a 6-piston bolt-on brake upgrade that gives you enough braking potential to tackle even the highest-paced road courses or mountain roads. Two bottles of Motul Brake Fluid and a set of Stainless Steel Brake Lines are included.
