Used OEM Nissan Automatic Transmission Flexplate for all '90+ Nissan 300zx models equipped with an Automatic Transmission.
Connecting the crankshaft to the transmission's torque converter, the flexplate can be placed under a great deal of stress on high horsepower or aggressively driven 300zx's. The flexplate also includes the ring gear, which is used in conjunction with the engine's starter to crank the engine. Overtime and through continuous use of bad/worn starter gears, the flex plate's ring gear can become worn. As the uneven wear continues to worsen, starter grinding and binding will take place.
