Z1 engine tunes do not disable emissions control systems or the onboard diagnostic (OBD) system. The customer is responsible for ensuring the hardware they are using on their vehicle does not cause a failure to meet emissions standards.
The Z1 Performance Tuning Package provides the best tuning solution for your Infiniti Q50 or Q60 3.0t outside of our in-house services. The Level 1 Tune (base) requires no dyno tuning and is expertly pre-calibrated to suit your vehicle. Our Level 2 Tune (custom) will allow your car to unlock maximum power from your mods and lets you get your money's worth from all your performance upgrades.
Included with the purchase of the Level 1 or Level 2 Tune is an EcuTek OBDII bluetooth performance analyzer and adapter that is used to install the provided ROM file onto your stock ECU through EcuTek's ECU Connect App. EcuTek's bluetooth dongle provides numerous other features such as logging and diagnostic capability. *Please make sure your phone is compatible with the EcuTek connect app before ordering. When setting up your account through EcuTek Connect, please be sure to use the SAME EMAIL that you use for your Z1 account. Failure to do this may result in extended processing time.
Average performance gains seen on a non-Sport Q50 are 100hp and over 100lb-ft. On a Redsport Q50 average performance gains are 50hp and over 75lb-ft. Bear in mind, not all cars are equal so performance gains may vary depending on fuel quality and atmospheric conditions. Z1 recommends 5w-30 or 5w-40 motor oil in all tuned VR30's.

If your car has aftermarket catalytic converters (HFC's), your car requires a Level 2 Tune. Please read the information below prior to ordering.

Z1 Level 2 tuning starts with the Level 1 tune and adds custom changes to suit your level of hardware modifications. To ensure these changes are best suited to your car, an iterative process is used. Z1 will upload your first Level 2 tune based on the modification list you’ve disclosed. You will load that tune and then perform a data log on the vehicle per the instructions given to you by the Z1 tuner. Based on that data log, the tuner will adjust the tune to optimize your vehicle’s performance. If necessary, this process will be repeated one additional time for a maximum of 3 total tunes. Explanation of Level 2 Tune Options:
Level 2 Tune - Exhaust Options
Select whether or not your car has a complete turbo-back exhaust with aftermarket catalytic converters. The customer is responsible for ensuring the catalysts being used are emissions-compliant. Z1 tunes do not disable emissions control systems or the onboard diagnostic (OBD) system.
Level 2 Tune - Intake and Fueling Options
Oversized Intakes - Select this option if your car has oversized intakes installed. This is not a common option.
E30 with Upgraded Low-Pressure Fuel Pump - Select this option if your car has an upgraded low-pressure fuel pump and will be running E30 ethanol fuel. Ethanol levels beyond 30% (E85) are only supported for in house dyno tuning. To schedule a dyno tuning appointment, please contact our service department at 770-838-7777.
Please note that Z1 does not currently offer a tuning solution for DeatschWerks 1700cc fuel injectors.
