Z1 engine tunes do not disable emissions control systems or the onboard diagnostic (OBD) system. The customer is responsible for ensuring the hardware they are using on their vehicle does not cause a failure to meet emissions standards.

The Z1 Performance Tuning Package - Upgrade Only option provides tuning support for customers that have already purchased an EcuTek Performance Tune for their Infinti Q50 or Q60, and need to update their car's tune to match newly installed performance upgrades. When purchasing the Level 2 Upgrade, you'll receive a tune that has been custom calibrated to extract the most performance from your car's modifications, including oversized aftermarket intakes, aftermarket catalytic converters, E30 ethanol fuel with upgraded fuel pump, and more.

Z1 Level 2 tuning starts with the Level 1 tune and adds custom changes to suit your level of hardware modifications. Included with Level 2 tuning you’ll also have access to our Z1 custom map package. This option would include cars with a full turbo-back exhaust system with aftermarket catalytic converters or oversized intakes. To ensure these changes are best suited to your car, an iterative process is used. Z1 will upload your first Level 2 tune via the direct tune delivery system based on the modification list you’ve disclosed. You will load that tune and then perform a data log on the vehicle per the instructions emailed to you after purchase. Based on that data log, the tuner will adjust the tune to optimize your vehicle’s performance for the modifications. Level 2 Tune Features:

The Level 2+ Tune option is for vehicles with modifications outside the realm of Level 1 or Level 2 tuning. This is for vehicles equipped with aftermarket fuel systems such as low-pressure fuel pump, injectors, high-pressure fuel pump, or full FlexFuel kits.

These customers will not receive an initial base file via the direct tune delivery system due to the complexity of modifications. The base file will be built off the modifications on the car once the vehicle information form has been filled out.

Please note that Z1 does not currently offer a tuning solution for DeatschWerks 1700cc fuel injectors.

If your car is already tuned on EcuTek from somewhere other than Z1, please contact us before ordering. Previous tune purchase from Z1 is required before purchasing the Level 2 Upgrade, as we cannot update tunes that we did not create.
