Frustrated by the goofy hood prop rod embarrassing you at car shows and getting in the way while you are working under the hood? The Z1 Hood Strut Kit fits all '09+ R35 GTR models and replaces the original hood prop rod with two gas-charged hood struts for a cleaner-looking engine bay and easier service. Installation is simple, the provided mounting bracket and ball stud are installed in existing holes on your GTR's chassis. No modification to the chassis is required.
These hood struts are intended for OE aluminum hoods only. Use with fiberglass or carbon fiber hoods could result in damage. If you are installing these on a carbon fiber or fiberglass hood, we recommend exercising caution when closing the hood to minimize the risk of damage.
