Z1 engine tunes do not disable emissions control systems or the onboard diagnostic (OBD) system. The customer is responsible for ensuring the hardware they are using on their vehicle does not cause a failure to meet emissions standards.
The Z1 Performance Tuning Package - Upgrade Only option provides tuning support for customers that have already purchased an EcuTek Performance Tune for their Nissan 370Z or Infiniti G37, and need to update their car's tune to match newly installed performance upgrades. When purchasing the Level 2 Upgrade, you'll receive a tune that has been custom calibrated to extract the most performance from your car's modifications, including 3'' cold air intakes, oversized injectors with Ethanol (E85) fuels, and more. The Level 2 Upgrade is available for customers that already have an EcuTek Dongle or Deskey, and wish to use the Phone Flash method or Deskey (laptop flash) to install their tune.
*Please make sure your phone is compatible with the EcuTek connect app before ordering. If you need to flash your car using the older laptop method, please select the corresponding option. When setting up your account through EcuTek Connect, please be sure to use the SAME EMAIL that you use for your Z1 account. Failure to do this may result in extended processing time.

Z1 Level 2 tuning starts with the Level 1 tune and adds custom changes to suit your level of hardware modifications. To ensure these changes are best suited to your car, an iterative process is used. Z1 will upload your first Level 2 tune based on the modification list you’ve disclosed. You will load that tune and then perform a data log on the vehicle per the instructions given to you by the Z1 tuner. Based on that data log, the tuner will adjust the tune to optimize your vehicle’s performance. If necessary, this process will be repeated one additional time for a maximum of 3 total tunes. Explanation of Level 2 Tune Options:
Phone Flash
Select whether or not you're using EcuTek Phone Flash or Deskey (Laptop Flash) as a method of installing your tune. Customers that have already purchased phone flash will not need to purchase it again and can select the corresponding option.

Level 2 Tune
Select whether or not your car has aftermarket headers and/or a complete exhaust with aftermarket catalytic converters. The customer is responsible for ensuring the catalysts being used are emissions-compliant. Z1 tunes do not disable emissions control systems or the onboard diagnostic (OBD) system.
Additionally, you may select to tune for 3'' Intakes, such as Z1's 3'' Cold Air Intakes and for oversized injectors (up to 750cc) with E85 ethanol fuels. Z1 will only tune up to 750cc injectors for naturally aspirated cars and specifically does not support Bosch 650cc injectors. Fuel injectors larger than 750cc are unnecessary for naturally aspirated cars, despite ethanol content, and can result in issues with idle quality.
If your car has non-factory size intakes that are not 3'' in diameter, please select the 3'' option and include your intake type in the tuning spec sheet.
If your car has already been tuned on EcuTek or has forced induction, please contact us before ordering at 770-838-7777. If your car is already tuned on EcuTek from somewhere other than Z1, please contact us before ordering. Previous tune purchase from Z1 is required before purchasing the Level 2 Upgrade, as we cannot update tunes that we did not create.
