The Z1 Performance Street Clutch Kit is our recommended clutch solution for modified naturally aspirated and moderately boosted 350Zs and G35s.
All of our Z1 Clutch Kits come complete with a genuine Koyo release bearing, pilot bushing, and alignment tool in addition to the pressure plate and friction disc. The pressure plate in this kit exceeds OEM specifications and features high clamping force while maintaining a low spring load. A low spring load eases lateral force on the main thrust bearings in your engine which is especially important during "dry" start-up. (High pressure plate spring loads result in high lateral forces being exerted on the crank when the pedal is depressed and the clutch is disengaged which can cause premature thrust bearing failure resulting in "crank walk" and ultimately engine failure).
The standard full faced friction disc is made with an upgraded organic metallic material that will provide good wear and great engagement. Lightweight unsprung solid hub full face discs are also available for you road racers. For increased torque capacity a sprung hub six puck disc is available as an option below. As with any puck style friction disc, engagement will become more aggressive due to higher coefficient of friction of the pucks grabbing more and slipping less than an organic metallic full faced disc. Overall this clutch will hold up to engines producing 500 ft/lbs of torque or less. Longevity of this clutch will ultimately depend on driving style. We also offer the Z1 Mild Performance Clutch Kit for less demanding applications.
This complete clutch assembly is 16 lbs vs the stock assembly weighing 19 lbs. Available with the Z1 Lightweight Flywheel and Z1 Stainless Steel Clutch Line at a discounted package price HERE.

Available for both the VQ35DE (single throttle body) and VQ35HR (dual throttle body) engines (HR kits do not include a throw out bearing due to their concentric slave cylinder design). Please choose from the options below.
Optional Friction Disc
Standard Full Face - This is an OEM Type disc with a sprung hub and upgraded full friction surface to aid in driveability and engagement but also hold all of your NA Upgrades.
Sprung Hub 6 Puck - This is a sprung hub disc made up of ceramic "pucks" that provide a more aggressive engagement and hold a lot more power than the organic full face material.
Unsprung Full Face - This is a lightweight solid hub disc with an upgraded full friction surface to allow a more direct engagement without the aggressiveness of ceramic pucks.
350Z/ G35 Flywheel Torque Spec: 62-68 ft-lbs wet *Z1 recommends the use of Loctite 271 or equivalent
350Z / G35 Clutch Pressure Plate Torque Spec: Step 1 = 8-14 ft-lb, Step 2 = 26-32 ft-lb *use Loctite 271 or equivalent
